Last night I sent off my first query letter. This morning I got back my first rejection letter. According to what I have read somewhere (I don't remember where)I can now claim to be a real author.
I am not sure how I feel about it. On one hand I had hoped despite all the odds it would be a simple process to get published. On the other hand now I have been rejected future rejections don't seem to matter as much.
